Moffat Firming

Interested in learning about the Moffat Firming Project? Denver Water has requested a permit to enlarge Gross Reservoir above Boulder. TU actually supports the project because we believe it will increase Denver’s flexibility and allow us to keep more water on the West Slope when we need it most while allowing greater diversion when we have excess water. While we are concerned about the negative impact of increased diversions, we accept the reality that Denver owns the water. Enlarging Gross Reservoir will help us make the best of a bad situation.
