TU worked hard for a long time to fight the outgoing administration’s failed attempt to approve Pebble Mine in Bristol Bay, Alaska. This was a big success for TU and our other partners, but more work lies ahead. We’ve seen that over and over in our long-term efforts to save the Fraser and Upper Colorado Rivers here in Colorado. The mine would have been yet another devastating blow to fishing and the larger environment in Alaska. We are excited to celebrate a major win for Bristol Bay with the denial of the permit for the proposed Pebble mine! Thank you to everyone who has taken action over the LONG fight for the biggest wild salmon fishery on the planet. Next, advance permanent protections for Bristol Bay. #NotHereNotEver
