Media Coverage or TU & Water Issues

Here are links to some of the recent articles, older information, radio and TV broadcasts we are aware of relating to water in our region:

Recently, the Denver Post, our Grand County papers and others have featured a number of excellent water-related articles. Here are links to a few:
4/8/12 This one is at the top, because it's the best, not the most recent. It's titled "Sucking the River Dry"
4/12/12 Denver Water: No to water restrictions
4/11/12 Governor Hickenlooper on dams, diversion and conservation.
2/22/12 Protect the Colorado Headwaters.
2/17/12 Trans-basin diversion damage.

"Climate Change Threatens Colorado Trout Habitat" feature on Colorado Public Radio's show Colorado Matters: link.

Rocky Mountain PBS (Denver channel 6) has aired five separate shows on water in Colorado in the past few months.  All the shows have been interesting, thought provoking and informative. Your humble Chief Web Lackey recommends all of these TV shows. You can watch any of them online from this link. The most recent show included Lynn Broaddus, PhD from the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread. The Johnson Foundation was one of the organizers of the discussion at which the show was filmed. Here's a link to their web site.
"Where Does Our Water Come From?"

Governor Hickenlooper and leaders from Grand, Summit and Eagle counties proposed the Colorado River Cooperative Agreement in the spring of 2011 in an effort to protect the Colorado. Follow this link for more info.
